The possibilities; will they be missed?

Will the opportunity to make Thirlby Field the fine reality all have hoped for come true?
Or will another opportunity be missed and go waiting for another 15 years?
The opportunity to make this happen as the designs show is very real. It just takes those in charge to step forward and say "make it happen". Do not let mediocrity rise to its depths again.

Not only a fabulous design, but a fiscally responsible design to last for generations to come.

Whoever is in charge please make this happen. Is there any way to know if it will happen or are we doomed to play in a so-so place still?

Is any one home at TCAPS? Did 4th and Goal get muffled like the between the fences folks a few years back?

Or did rotary do to them what they almost did to Micheal Moore.
And he rose above them!

This is all fine and dandy.....but what about the money? There is your issue. They could build anything they want, but at the end of the day there are bills to pay. Who puts up the money?

The money is there. this town has always been ready to come and donate time and materialsd to make this things look awesome. But each time a group gets started they get de-railed by the power groups (rotary, Community foundation, bankers lawyers wives group which is one in the same, etc.) and the school admin that just doen't want to do anything. That first group that tried to do something really good years ago got sqwashed and taken over by the "in" croud. Looks like same is happening here.

The contractors in the area are ready to go. Just ask; as they have come forward and have been turned away!.. Why? Because community foundation wants "cash". Something fishy there. Just make this thing happen.. it can be done.

Have to agree with "hanley".
Why does this happen time and time again in TC.. something good gets going with grass roots good guy support, and Wham!; it gets throttled.
Hopefully the great plan here will see the light of day. They can still do it you know.

Who is willing to make it happen?
All the contractors in the area if they were given a chance.
But it seems the "foudnation" just wants "cash". so they can fund their own stuff.

Why is no one doing anything but mediocre fix-its? This could have been so fantastic.

I guess TCAPS likes mediocre.. well.. on to other things.. like merging the high schools, cutting costs.

Could have had a great Thirlby Field for little of nothing. They never look at the long view and how to use money and people effectively. Oh wel....

What ever happened to this design?

why did TC and the odd 4th and gaol group not do something decent.

I went to Thirlby Field this past season ('08) It is laughable.. All thenhype and things and you ahve a place designed by a 6th grader!

THIRLBY IS GREAT JUST THE WAY IT IS! YOU NUMBSKULLS WOULDN'T KNOW A GREAT STADIUM IF IT FELL ON TOP OF YOU! DO YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO LIFE AT ALL, SO YOU HAVE TO FIND SOMETHING TO WHINE ABOUT???

TC missed the ball , Thirlby is ok, even with the new carpet, but sadly over rated. It lookes pieced together and un finished. The locker rooms are terrible and small. Is anyone home at TC?
